The Product Manager is responsible for planning and executing the product all throughout the product lifecycle, including: collecting and prioritising product and customer requirements, defining the vision of the product and the close collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing and after-sales to ensure that the revenue and customer satisfaction targets are met. The Product Manager also ensures that the product supports the company’s strategy and its general objectives. In some way, they are the Product CEO.

Your purpose:

  • To define the product strategy and roadmap
  • To provide MRDs (Market Requirement Documents) and PRDs (Product Requirement Documents) with priority functionalities and the corresponding justifications
  • To work with external third parties to evaluate possible licence partnerships and opportunities
  • To develop the positioning of the product and to analyse the competition in close collaboration with the Marketing Manager
  • To perform product demonstrations to Key Accounts
  • To set the prices to achieve profitability and revenue targets
  • To provide a monthly revenue forecast
  • To develop sale tools and supports
  • To propose an overall budget to ensure success
  • To brief and train the sales force during quarterly commercial meetings
  • To brief the media and analysts and to perform press tours in close collaboration with the Communication Manager
  • To act as a leader within the company

Your profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager
  • Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products
  • 10 years’ experience in a role on the machine tools market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English. German will be a plus
  • Baccalaureate (preferably MBA)
  • Technical training, with machine tools experience
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven capacity to influence inter-operational teams without formal authority
  • Must be capable of travelling 20% of the time

The software engineer’s goal is to analyze, develop, configure, test, validate, document, and maintain the software and hardware included in all laser micromachining machines produced by Optec.

Your responsibilities

  • Analysis of the customer’s technical needs (alone or in consultation with your supervisor and/or other teams if necessary)
  • Analysis of electrical/electronic drawings in relation to a project
  • Management of computer parts required for a project
  • Hardware assembly, software installation and configuration of PCs mounted in the machines
  • Time estimates for IT developments related to a project (alone or in consultation with his/her superior)
  • The realization of computer developments related to a project, in accordance with the specifications
  • The quality and documentation of the IT developments carried out
  • Testing and validation of IT developments related to a project (in collaboration with other teams)
  • The installation of the machines (remotely or at the customer’s site)
  • The follow-up of the computer part of the machines
  • The computer maintenance of the machines already installed, in collaboration with the after-sales service manager
  • Contact with the customer when necessary
  • Identify and remove problems and risks in ongoing projects

Your profile

  • You have a Master’s degree or Industrial Engineer level
  • Excellent English language skills (B2 level or higher)
  • Knowledge of .NET, automation, electronics and pneumatics is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Developing laser processes on our machines.
  • Commissioning our laser micro-machining machines.
  • Performing acceptance tests on the machines in the factory and at our customers’ premises.
